The Dishler Laser Institute provides detailed, initial consultations to determine your suitability for Laser Vision Correction. The goal of this consultation is to determine if you are a candidate for laser vision correction, to determine the most suitable variation of the procedure for your particular situation, and to answer all your questions.

Your free consultation takes approximately 1-1½ hours. If possible, we would like you to stay out of your contact lenses for three days and nights prior to this initial examination. If this will be extremely difficult for you, please discuss this with our staff while making your appointment.

During your consultation we will perform multiple tests, including wavefront analysis, computerized pupil size measurements, cornea curvature / topography, and cornea thickness calculations. You will meet with a doctor; they will examine your eyes, answer all your questions, and address your individual situation and concerns.

At Dishler Laser Institute (and unlike most laser centers), we do not base our treatments on only one set of measurements. If we determine that you are a suitable candidate for Laser Vision Correction, we will then schedule a time for you to have further measurements, including an eye dilation, which will take an additional 1½ hours. These secondary measurements, for which there is no additional fee, will serve as a double-check of our original measurements and will be performed after you have been out of your contact lenses for a longer period of time.

• Monday-Thursday afternoons 1:00pm to 2:30pm
• Friday morning 8:00am to 10:30 am
• Friday afternoon 1:00pm or 1:30 pm
