The Zeiss MEL 80™ is our newest excimer laser system. Together with the VisuMax® FS flap laser, the MEL 80™ represents the latest in refractive surgery technology. The Latest Bladeless LASIK Technology

The Zeiss MEL 80™ excimer laser is a fourth-generation laser platform from world-renowned medical laser manufacturer Karl Zeiss Meditec. It is specifically tuned to treat the higher-order aberrations identifiable only through wavefront mapping, an approach known as custom LASIK. It gives Dr. Dishler unsurpassed control over the fine details of treatment, enabling a totally customized LASIK procedure for every laser vision correction patient.

The MEL 80™ incorporates PrecisePulse™ Technology for optimal control of each laser burst from beginning to end, maximizing precision, safety, and reliability. Because the Zeiss MEL 80™ laser is many times faster than previous-generation models, taking only seconds to treat each eye, bladeless LASIK patients experience less total laser exposure, reducing the potential for error while minimizing side effects such as dry eye.

Better Laser Vision Correction Results

The enhanced speed and precision of the Zeiss MEL 80™ excimer laser translate to better corrected vision for our bladeless LASIK patients from Arvada, Boulder, Littleton, and elsewhere. In clinical laser vision correction studies, more than nine of every 10 patients achieved 20/20 visual acuity without glasses or better. Better than four of every 10 patients achieved 20/12.5 visual acuity or better - far superior to the vision they achieved with even the best prescription corrective lenses.
