Experience
Dr. Dishler has more than 25 years of experience in performing refractive surgery (including laser vision, lens implants, and RK), and 13 years in performing laser vision surgery (including LASIK and PRK). He's performed over 45,000 LASIK and laser vision correction procedures. Dr. Dishler was the first surgeon in Colorado to perform custom LASIK, all laser IntraLASIK, FLEX (femtosecond lenticular extraction), and automated lamellar Keratoplasty (ALK).
Clinical Research
Dr. Dishler served as the principal investigator in ten Food and Drug Administration studies for laser manufacturers such as Bausch & Lomb, ReVision Optics, and Meditech Carl Zeiss, as well as in studies of the Dishler Excimer Laser.
Innovation
Always on the cutting edge of technology, Dr. Dishler was the first Colorado surgeon to introduce the Zeiss MEL 80 excimer laser to his practice, and the first surgeon in North American to use the Zeiss Visumax Femtosecond laser. He is also the first and only ophthalmologist in Colorado to develop an FDA-approved excimer laser. His practice is distinguished from other Colorado practices in that it offers the most advanced laser platforms and technology to enhance patient comfort and safety. This technology includes the Zeiss VisuMax femtosecond laser; which is available in the United States only at Dishler Laser Institute. Dr. Dishler is the only surgeon in Colorado to use and offer the all-laser Intralase LASIK system and the bladeless LASIK system (VisuMax®). All surgical procedures are performed in a state-certified ambulatory surgery center at Dishler Laser Institute, eliminating the need for patients to travel to another location for their surgery.
