Q: What if I currently wear contact lenses?

Prior to your pre-surgical evaluation it is important that the curvature of the corneas return to their natural shape. The only way to ensure this is for contact lens use to be discontinued. We recommend for spherical soft-contact lens wearers they be out of their lenses for 7 days and for toric soft contact lenses wearers 14 days. Gas permeable contact lens wearers should be out for 6 weeks and hard contact lenses wearers out of their lenses for 3 months.
