Q: Is LASIK covered by insurance?

Like most vision correction surgeries, LASIK is an elective procedure, and therefore is not covered by most insurers. But there are exceptions, so please call our office for more information. If your employer sponsors a flexible benefits plan, you may use pre-tax dollars to pay for medical expenses not covered by regular health insurance.
