Q: Are there any risks involved in LASIK surgery?

LASIK is a surgical procedure, and like all surgeries, it has limitations and possesses the potential for risks and complications, although the risk of having a serious vision-threatening complication is less than 1 %. While rare, some side effects that may be encountered after LASIK include halos & glare at night, infection, corneal flap problems, corneal haze, under and over-correction, loss of best-corrected visual acuity and regression.
