Trusted LASIK surgeons is an organization that states on their website you must have the following qualifications:

• Have over 10 years experience and have performed at least 2,000 refractive surgery procedures

• Offer Intralase ("all-laser") LASIK and Wavefront ("custom") LASIK & PRK
• Offer complete refractive care, not just LASIK
• Are leaders in LASIK and refractive surgery research and cataract surgery
• Have treated other eye surgeons and eye professionals or their families
• Have treated patients who had problems with a previous LASIK surgery
• Trusted by the manufacturers of lasers to perform studies to obtain FDA approval
• Teach and certify other LASIK and refractive surgeons for the medical equipment used to perform LASIK and other refractive and cataract surgery procedures
• Have published papers and/or presented lectures at major meetings of their peers about refractive surgeons procedures

• Many of the LASIK surgeon in our directory are among the true pioneers of LASIK, Cataract, and other refractive surgery procedures and were often among the first to perform vision correction procedures locally, nationally, or even the world.

At Dishler Laser Institute, we have over 14 years experience, have completed closing in on 50,000 LASIK procedures and offer Intralase (AND VISUMAX) and custom LASIK and PRK procedures.  In fact we performed the first LASIK in Colorado, the first Intralase in Colorado, and offer complete refractive care.  I have lectured at national meetings numerous times, and have been used as an expert consultant by several companies in the industry.  We have treated numerous doctors including eye doctors.  We have taken care of patients who had problems at other centers including those with problems with LASIK.  I have taught other doctors who come regularly to our center from around the country to learn the latest in technique and technology.  I have published papers and hold several patents in the field.  We truly are an Institute.

We have been investigators on numerous successful FDA clinical trials whereas I am not aware of any other center in Colorado participating in any FDA clinical trials on LASIK.
