Take a tour of the LASIK facility

When you visit the Dishler Laser Institute, you will take an elevator to the 12th floor where you will enter to a panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains (we used to be called Laser Institute of the Rockies).  You will be greeted by our receptionists/patient counselors who are highly trained to not only get you checked in, but to answer your questions and make you feel at home.  You can use your cell phone, our courtesy phone, have a cup of java, and relax in our spacious waiting area.  You will be seen by a patient counselor, an ophthalmic technician, and either Dr. Brownfield or Dr. Petraitis during your free screening.  You will have some quick an painless diagnostic scans taken of your eyes, answer a few questions about your general and eye health, and see a short video presentation.  Then our patient counselor who is an RN (nurse) will take you on a tour of the actual surgical facility which adjoins our office.  Here in this State of Colorado licensed ambulatory surgery center, you will see both of our operating suites, view all four of our vision correction lasers as well as see our patient areas and have any questions answered.  you will probably be impressed with our comfortable patient waiting areas with Lazy Boy reclining chairs and flat panel TV.  Hidden behind the comforts is the capability to provide emergency care should it ever be needed, power backup of all functions, and a separate climate control center.

We have two full time doctors who are not only available during office hours, but by e-mail and after hours as needed.  In addition, all of the procedures are performed by the same doctor who has worked as a consultant to several companies who have developed laser vision technology, has been an innovator, a public speaker, and an expert in the field.  We have performed well over 45,000 LASIK procedures, plus a number of other vision and eye procedures over the last 25 years, making us the most experienced laser center still in its original location in all of Colorado.

When you sink back into one of those Lazy Boy recliners, you will know that you have an entire team of professionals dedicated to providing you with outstanding vision correction services and a team that was the first to ever do a LASIK procedure in Colorado in 1995.  We have come a long way since then and we would like to share with you all that we have learned along the way.
